Holly & Heather’s Helpful Hint: The Best You Can Be
We were recently listening to an inspirational story that really seemed to hit home about some of life’s purposes. The main message we got out of it was: Be the best you that you can be. Think about it, that is a really great way to try to live your life.
We all struggle from time to time to find purpose and meaning in our lives and for how we are living it. If you are always conscientious of trying to be the best you you can be, you can’t go wrong. That can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people, but put it into the context of how you are living your life. Let’s say you are having a conversation with someone and you are simultaneously multitasking while listening or just nodding and going thru the motions without really giving 100% of your attention. But if you are striving to be the best you, really engage in the conversation. You’ll be empathizing and giving feedback which is much better for the relationship.
Apply the message to your kids while helping them with homework, your job, cleaning, donating, whatever it is that you are doing. It doesn’t mean that you have to be the best but that you are trying to be the best you that you can be.
